Clear answers about UAE tax rules, how we work and how our packages are priced.

UAE tax

Do small businesses need to register for Corporate Tax?

Yes. UAE companies must register for Corporate Tax whatever their revenue or profit, and late registration carries an AED 10,000 penalty. Businesses with revenue up to AED 3 million may qualify for Small Business Relief for tax periods ending by 31 December 2026.

When is VAT registration required?

Registration is mandatory once taxable supplies exceed AED 375,000 in the previous 12 months, or are expected to within the next 30 days. Voluntary registration is possible from AED 187,500.

Do free zone companies pay Corporate Tax?

Free zone companies must register and file. A Qualifying Free Zone Person can apply 0% to qualifying income if it meets the conditions.

How long must records be kept?

Corporate Tax records must be kept for at least seven years. VAT records are generally kept for five years, and longer for real estate.

Working with NAMAA

Can you help me set up a new company?

Yes. We support mainland and free zone company formation, from choosing your activity and jurisdiction to the trade licence, bank account opening and tax registration. Authority fees are quoted separately from our service fee.

Which accounting software do you use?

We work in Zoho Books, Wafeq, QuickBooks, Odoo and Tally, as well as other systems you may already use. If you do not have one yet, we can advise on suitable options; the software subscription stays in your name.

How do I share documents?

Through a secure shared folder rather than email attachments.

Can you take over from my current accountant?

Yes. We review your existing records and filings during onboarding and agree any catch-up work before the monthly service starts.

Do we need to meet in person?

Not usually. Most work is handled online, and we meet whenever it helps.

Packages and fees

How are monthly fees set?

By the number of transactions you process each month: Starter covers up to 100 (AED 999 per month), Growth up to 200 (AED 1,499 per month) and Enterprise is unlimited (AED 2,499 per month).

Is there a minimum contract?

Terms are agreed with each client and set out in the engagement letter before work begins.

What documents do you need to start?

Your trade licence, bank statements, sales and purchase invoices, and any VAT or Corporate Tax registration details. We send a full checklist at kick-off.

What if I am behind on my filings?

Tell us early. We review what is overdue, explain any penalties and agree a catch-up plan before the monthly service starts.

How do you keep my documents secure?

Documents are shared through a protected folder rather than email attachments, and access to your accounting system is limited to the people working on your file.

Should I set up on the mainland or in a free zone?

It depends on where your customers are, your activity and how many visas you need. We compare the options with you; see company formation.

Tell us where your books stand.

In one call we will tell you what is missing, what is due next and what it costs. No obligation.
